What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an innovative teeth straightening treatment that consists of a series of nearly invisible aligners that are custom made for your teeth. They are changed every two weeks and are fully removable.

You’ll know exactly what to expect from Invisalign as at your first appointment you’ll be shown a virtual 3D treatment plan. This plan will show you the series of movements your teeth will make throughout the course of your treatment, enabling you to see from the beginning what your teeth are expected to look like at the end of your treatment.

Is Invisalign right for me?

Invisalign aligners are unique as they’re nearly invisible and fully removeable! You’ll be able to eat and drink as normal, whilst also being able to brush and floss your teeth. Your oral hygiene won’t have to suffer while you take part in the treatment plan.

Each aligner from Invisalign is custom-made to fit your teeth and our service is fully tailored to suit you.

The 3D virtual treatment plan, called ClinCheck, will allow you to see your expected perfect smile before you even begin your treatment!

Have you treated many patients?

Dr Kumar is a Diamond provider of Invisalign, which means that he’s one of only a handful of dentists who have treated more that 1,000 patients. Worldwide, more than 2.5 million patients have gained their perfect smile from Invisalign.

How much does Invisalign cost?

We understand that when making a decision about dental treatments, cost is an important factor to consider. Treatment costs are dependent on your individual case, but costs are normally comparable to traditional fixed braces. Finance options are available for Invisalign and it could cost as little as £67 per month! Find out more about pricing by clicking here.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign’s unique aligners move your teeth in a controlled manner, carefully managing the amount of movement and the timing of the movement during each stage in the treatment course.

Each stage limits the amount of movement, ensuring that the treatment follows the movements shown in your personal Invisalign treatment plan.

What will my Invisalign aligners be made from?

Every aligner is custom-made for your teeth and they are made from a strong medical grade, almost invisible thermoplastic material that’s been specifically developed for Invisalign.

How long will the treatment last?

Depending on your individual treatment plan, Invisalign treatment usually lasts between 9 and 18 months. More information on the length of your treatment will be provided during your Smile Evaluation.

Is Invisalign painful?

Some patients experience some very minor discomfort at the beginning of each new stage of treatment, but this should pass after a couple of days. This discomfort is completely normal and is a sign that your aligners are working by exerting pressure on your teeth.

What can I eat?

Invisalign aligners aren’t fixed to your teeth, so they’re fully removable. You can eat and drink whatever you like as you can remove your aligners. To ensure that your oral hygiene doesn’t suffer, you should brush and floss your teeth after each meal before putting your aligners back in.

How often do I wear my aligners?

You should wear your aligners all of the time, except when you’re eating, drinking or brushing and flossing your teeth.

Will my speech be affected by Invisalign?

The majority of our patients have not reported any problems with speech whilst wearing Invisalign aligners, although you may find that there is a minor adjustment period as you get used to wearing the aligners.

Can I still smoke and chew gum?

We advise that in order to keep your aligners clean and almost invisible, you should remove your aligners whilst eating, drinking, smoking or chewing gum.

How do I keep my aligners clean?

We recommend that you use Retainer Bright a few times a week to keep your aligners clean and fresh, whilst also brushing your aligners regularly using lukewarm water.

Don’t forget to ensure you have the very best oral hygiene by brushing your teeth after each meal and before you put your aligners back in.
